About Our Organizations

Friends in Life Education Peer Club is a non-profit, non-governmental organization with interest in the overall development of youth and children, in rural and urban communities of Nigeria. Our interest is in protecting their rights to health, and social participation as well as helping them to come out of poverty. Founded in 2005, our mission is to mobilize communities and other resources that enable young people and children identify their inherent abilities, build values, set goals and actualize accomplishments that lead to HIV/AIDS prevention, drug demand and crime reduction, safe motherhood, food security and poverty reduction for overall community development.
By empowering young people to be self sustained, they are most likely to understand and insist on their basic rights, avoid destructive lifestyles and enjoy quality nutrition and consequently quality health. Our main activities include health promotion, enterprise skills development and rights protection.
With a membership of well over 150 people, we serve young people in all age brackets.

S.O. Solidarieta, is an Italian organization implementing health, education and youth/children projects in Africa (Nigeria).
In partnership with the Federal Ministry of Health and Imo State Government the association is currently implementing a multi-year free cervical cancer screening (

Also the association in partnership with private/public schools in Imo State is implementing Project Growing Together (
Progetto Growing Together – Crescere Insieme), a project that equips nursery and primary school teachers with skill on child centered play therapy for cognitive, affective and psychomotor development.

The Daughters of Charity of the Most Precious Blood is a religious congregation with headquarters in Italy. The congregation is an active partner in SOSolidarieta's health and child-centered projects in Nigeria.

About the Camp Project

The proposed project is a 14-day Summer Camp Project that strives to advance overall development of the child using creativity building approaches. We strongly believe that with the right mindset and properly activated talent, children’s capacity to advance development and peace is enhanced. The change process is further orchestrated when these children are set up early in life.

The camp project will involve children and adolescents aged 6 to 15years from various rural settings across Imo State. It will be facilitated by about 14 Italian Volunteer Trainers, about 15 Youth Team Leaders in addition to the in-country Coordinator (Project Director, FLEP Club) that shall ensure the security and welfare of participating children.

It is anticipated that the project will build the inner peace of participants in conformity with Children of the Earth Spiritual Activism Model proposed by Dr. Nina Meyerhof
